Fariha’s family immigrated in search of the American Dream, but she quickly learned that requires actively seizing every opportunity and sometimes making them for yourself.
Her references recognize the dogged determination Fariha developed as she continuously sets new goals, as well as her mastering the “art of learning” especially in subjects which do not come naturally. Those same characteristics are evident as she works towards her dream of becoming a doctor, working internships to pay for medical service trips and then starting a club to help others do the same.
Currently a senior at Mills High School, Fariha plans to study Biology at USF before medical school and a career in medicine.
