A Junior at Mills High School, Charis is a shooting star! An immigrant to this country, learning a new language and adapting to a new life was not easy. However, Charis didn’t let these great challenges deter her from making an impact in her community and pursuing her higher education. Co-founder of her school’s Card Express club, Charis and fellow club members hand write cards for people feeling the loneliest – people in retirement homes, in hospitals, and victims of wildfires.
