Azucena Duran is fearless when it comes to advocating for herself and her community. As a Community relations Fellow for the Tournament of Roses, Azucena has been able to immerse herself in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work to positively impact her community. In addition, she is a part of the Student Equity Committee at her community college and advocates for cultural awareness and student needs on campus. Her dream is to be able to shed light upon the barriers that underrepresented communities face and be the force to remove those barriers. Azucena plans to harness this passion for community development into a successful career as an urban regional planner.
