Overview
Alpine Hills Tennis and Swimming Club in Portola Valley, CA is looking for enthusiastic, dependable tutors who enjoy helping students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and become more independent learners.

This position is great for an individual looking for a part-time job on the side.

Qualifications

• Current college student or college graduate
• Previous experience tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or working with students in grades 3–8
• Strong knowledge of elementary and middle school academics and study skills
• Professional, dependable, and well-organized
• Strong communication skills when working with students, parents, and team members
• Able to work independently, take initiative, and stay on top of responsibilities
• Positive, patient, and encouraging approach with students
• Comfortable working collaboratively and receiving feedback.

Responsibilities & Schedule

• Provide academic support to students in grades 3–8 across multiple subject areas
• Help students develop stronger study habits, organization, and confidence
• Be available for after-school tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00-6:00pm.
• Opportunities for extra hours as need increases
• Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment for every student

*Compensation based on experience and qualifications*

Pay: $20.00 – $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 4.0 per week
