Jobs for Youth (JFY) is a County of San Mateo program that takes a holistic approach to serving the County’s youth, by encouraging them to seek careers and higher education that align with their own passions, providing one-on-one coaching & mentoring, and promoting long-term networking opportunities through the Jobs for Youth Alumni Association.
The JFY program supports all County of San Mateo youth ages 14-21 in achieving their career and higher education goals via our four pillars of success/services:
Our Services
LEARN
We offer a variety of job training workshops ranging from Soft Skills for Success to Best Employment Practices to provide youth with tools when embarking on a career that is meaningful to them.
The Jobs for Youth Summer Internship Program places JFY Members aged 18-21 in County Departments for 8-10 weeks. Internship opportunities are available in a wide variety of different disciplines. Please visit the Internships page for further details!
We maintain a job board page on our website with employment, internship, & volunteer opportunities that aregeared towards youth throughout the County of San Mateo.
