2018-19 Annual Report

At Jobs for Youth, our mission is to support San Mateo County youth age 14-21 in achieving their career and higher education goals. We accomplish this via our three pillars of success: job skills workshops, job opportunities, and scholarships.

In the 2018-19 fiscal year, our workshops reached over 2500 youth, our donors’ support exceeded our wildest expectations, and 20 new Scholars received $30,000 in funds for college. But the greatest highlights of the year were the moments when youth shared how our program has helped them. Like when one of our Scholars said,

“This opportunity means the absolute WORLD to me and will allow me to be financially stable while I am going to school…. This program has made it possible for me to obtain a higher education and accomplish my dream of becoming a social worker.”
