RUBY THOMAS started with the Jobs for Youth program in 2001 as
a job counselor, and was promoted to Program Coordinator after
she completed her Master’s degree in Career Counseling.
As the program coordinator, she led the integration of the Ruby Tomas

$500,000 towards the youth scholarship program and managed (with Carolyn Livengood)
special events and projects to connect our youth with employers.
During her time with Jobs for Youth, Ruby and her team helped
over 34,000 youth with employment services, and she is always
excited to help youth explore and define their career goals.
Ruby is currently an Analyst with the County Human Services
Agency’s Center on Homelessness program. She enjoys cooking,
biking, and taking family trips during her spare time.
