Richard has long been fascinated by the invisible world beneath the skin and the marvel of modern medicine, from the impact of a single pill to the construction of an artificial organ he knew early on he wanted a way to change lives for the better.
Although he aspires to join this community as an anesthesiologist, and his references point to drive and resilience which will take him far, Richard is notably pragmatic on his plan to get there step-by-step.
Currently a senior at San Mateo High School, Richard plans to study Health Care at Skyline College before working towards an EMT certification, learning the field, and eventually medical school.
