Melissa Paz-Flores shines as a leader. A trailblazer in her community, Melissa passionately advocates for adolescent mental health resources, immigrant rights, and community wellness. She joined the Redwood City Teen Advisory Board and the Stanford Mental Health Youth Advisory Board to elevate the voices of the youth in her community. Additionally, Melissa took part in the Social Psychology research lab at UC Santa Cruz and will be co-authoring a forthcoming research paper on Latinx perceptions on communality in their communities for The Journal of Peace Psychology. With incredible achievements already reached, Melissa plans on more success as she dives into a bright future of psychology and Latinx studies with a mission to connect underrepresented communities with accessible mental health tools.
