In 2016, JFY celebrated the 34th Annual Fundraising Breakfast “Our Youth Our Future” at the Foster City Crown Plaza and 197 guests at attendance.
Former Assemblymember Gene Mullin presented the Mary Paskevich Memorial Award to Hal Kataoka and Julie Mooney. San Mateo County Board of Supervisor Tissier presented the special Business Recognition Awards to City of Daly City and SFO International Airport. JFY Alumni Rosa Torres and Charles Torres were guest speakers. Rosa was a two-time JFY Al Teglia Scholar in 2010 and 2011 and was at the time working as a web designer for the Information Systems Department for San Mateo County. Charles was a 2009 JFY Al Teglia Scholar, a graduate of Jefferson High School and CEO of Giant Mind Marketing Inc.
