Kidizens Seeking Social Media Marketing Intern Positions

Kidizens, the popular LEGO-based civic leadership program with two locations in the SF Bay Area, is seeking a highly motivated individual to be the social media marketing intern to join the team immediately and/or during summer.
We are looking for someone who has hands-on experience with various social media platforms and digital marketing tools and can help Kidizens improve its social media presence and reach its marketing goals. The candidate should be driven, motivated, passionate about social media, and eager to gain a meaningful marketing experience. You will provide end-to-end support for all social media marketing campaigns for our website and mobile platforms. You’ll collaborate with other team members to help execute our social media strategy and run our social channels and programs.

The Social Media Intern will:

  • Develop and execute an attention-grabbing social media strategy aimed at driving additional traffic to the website, gaining conversions and improving summer registrations
  • Produce and manage content for distribution on website, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social platforms
  • Develop weekly newsletters and distribute content via Mailchimp
  • Design mechanisms to automate Kidizens content distribution on social media platforms as well as to the existing community of parents

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to create social and video content – on a daily basis for either Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, or Snapchat platforms
  • Develop innovative approaches to using social media in marketing programs & campaigns
  • Monitor analytics to identify viable ideas, trends, and growth patterns
  • Create reports illustrating analytics for social media campaigns
  • Keeping up with the latest news and finding articles that would be good to share on platforms

Job Requirements

  • Social media obsessed – you check in, post, blog, tweet daily
  • Basic knowledge of social platforms and trends
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good analytical skills and ability to interpret data
  • Well-organized and good attention to detail
  • A quick thinker and problem solver


  • Option for a paid Winter/Spring internship
  • Preference given to those who can start immediately
  • Flexible schedule – estimated 10 to 15 hours/week
  • Flexibility to work remotely with regular check-ins

Compensation: $16 – $18 /hour, based on experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship

Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff is expected to be fully vaccinated before entering any camp facilities. Additionally, all staff and campers will be wearing masks at all times while indoors at any camp facilities.
