Job Summary
We are looking for a waitress who has the experience working in the restaurant( Japanese restaurant will be preferred)
Duties
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Process payments efficiently, handling cash, credit, and digital transactions with precision.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Assist with food preparation, including basic food handling and sanitation practices to maintain health standards.
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Clear tables, bus tables, and assist with general cleanliness to uphold sanitation standards.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food prep tasks when needed in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and order accuracy.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, café, or retail environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Experience in food preparation, cashiering, or serving roles demonstrates strong customer service skills and knowledge of the food industry.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math for upselling are essential.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is beneficial.
- Candidates should possess excellent time management skills, the ability to multitask efficiently, and demonstrate a friendly attitude towards customers and team members alike.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.47 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
Work Location: In person
