About Us

Fly Bay Area is an Aerial Sightseeing company and Flight School located at the San Carlos Airport (KSQL) in San Carlos, CA. We provide aerial tours around the San Francisco Bay Area as well as first flight experiences and introductory flight lessons in small two or four-seater general aviation aircraft. Additionally we provide flight instruction towards the Private Pilot Certificate and Instrument Rating, as well as rent aircraft to our members for personal use.

Fly Bay Area currently has a Part-Time Receptionist/Administrative Assistant position open at our San Carlos, CA Office.

Responsibilities

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the day to day operation of a small business office
  • Answer phone and make follow-up calls
  • Schedule flight tours and lessons
  • Schedule maintenance blocks for aircraft
  • Create or update forms and documents as needed
  • Greet clients and process check-in of passengers and guests
  • Sell products and services
  • Process photos and videos
  • Upload content to social media sites
  • Coordinate with maintenance department
  • Schedule tour pilots and ensure pilot and aircraft availability for tours
  • Keep office organized and running smoothly
  • Anticipate office needs and communicate those needs with supervisor

Qualifications

Candidates with prior aviation experience and selling experience preferred. Strong organizational skills, customer service skills, basic computer knowledge, and comfortable with sales and selling required. Looking for a self motivated quick learner who can take on the task of managing the day to day needs of the operation with little supervision. The job requires attention to detail and the ability to handle competing deadlines and priorities effectively. Must be available to work occasional weekends. Ability to work well with diverse client group, coworkers, and team members. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
