Reading Tutor

PRIDE Learning Co, is a premier tutoring company for children with learning difficulties.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, reliable and flexible tutor to teach reading after school In-Home in Burlingame for either 3 60-minute or 2 90-minute lessons per week in the 94010 zip code; $40/hour.

We are looking for tutors who:

• Are ready to be trained to implement our multisensory reading program. It is 100% scripted out for you which teaches phonics, spelling, fluency, comprehension and writing skills
• Have experience working with school age children and are able to create and maintain a positive and engaging learning environment
• Must have the ability to develop rapport with students
• Must have an electronic device that can be brought to the tutoring location such as a laptop
• Have great communication skills and are able to motivate students
• Are able to commute to this student’s location in Burlingame, zip 94010
• Are committed to establish and maintain a professional long term tutoring relationship with their student

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized 1:1 tutoring sessions to enhance students’ reading skills and literacy comprehension.
• Implement scripted and engaging lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs.
• Utilize PRIDE’s learning technologies and resources to support instruction.
• Manage each session time effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment.
• Communicate progress and challenges with PRIDE’s staff to foster student growth.
• Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education requirements as needed.
