Your Role:
As an operations assistant you will provide direct support to the Operations Lead of the
company. Each day you will be multi-tasking and handling various requests while
working closely with different internal and external stakeholders. You should enjoy
providing help and support to others, have a passion for process optimization, have an
eye for detecting inefficiencies and possess creative problem solving skills all while
working in a fast-paced environment.


    • Free up at least 25% of the Operations Lead’s time by providing direct support with projects and tasks
    • Assess tasks and problem-solve to a positive outcome while meeting deadlines
    • Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements
    • Handle routine and complex tasks with professionalism and efficiency while using discretion and maintaining confidentiality
    • Assist with office, lab, and greenhouse expansion and relocation projects
    • Improve overall work efficiency of the Greenhouse team by providing support with projects and tasks
    • Attend greenhouse trips to Woodland, CA (1-2 times per month, on average)
    • Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm to help whenever needed with both large and small tasks
    • Provide cross-functional support to other departments as required
    • Work productively with minimal supervision

Required experience and skills

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Minimum 1 year of related work experience in a position of service (assistant/associate, administrative, intern, technician, customer service, etc.) or in a hands-on Operations role
    • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, critical thinking and persuasiveness skills
    • Organized, detail oriented, reliable, self-motivated, strong willed, resourceful, a quick learner, has excellent time management skills, works well under pressure
    • Proficient computer skills, fast typing and organized note taking skills
    • Passionate about our mission of creating animal-free products
