Full Job Description

Position: Patient Intake Specialist / Front Desk Medical Receptionist

Compensation: $17 – $19 Hourly

Employment Type: Part Time or Full Time

We’re looking for a friendly and professional customer service specialist with a positive attitude to assist with patient intake, patient follow up, and the overall patient experience in our busy urgent care clinics! We believe in surprising our customers with our commitment to service and ensuring that they always feel better off for having chosen us. We want our patients to get the right care, right now and we want YOU to help them get it!

The primary duties/responsibilities will include:

1. Assist patients with patient registration/check-in, insurance verification, and collect copays

2. Answer telephones, screen and direct calls

3. Conduct follow up calls and inform patients of lab results

4. Document all client interaction in the EMR and patient registration systems

5. Direct clients needing information to appropriate support team members

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 2 years of solid customer service background
  • Professional and courteous phone etiquette
  • Critical thinking and active listening skills
  • Proficient in computer skills (experience with EMR, Windows Outlook and Excel preferred)
  • Detail oriented
  • Pass background check and drug screening
