Farmers Market Assistant – Part-time (Wednesdays 1-7 & Saturdays 6-2:30)

Looking for a friendly and outgoing sales person who has great customer service skills, are detail oriented, communicate clearly, can take direction, and effectively complete tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

A typical day will involve picking and packing all product and getting it to the farmers’ market in our business vehicle. You will serve and form relationships with our customers and answer their questions on all Rosalind Bakery’s goods (allergens, ingredients, components). This role also includes inventory management, safely handling all baked goods, and packing up at the end of the day. We’re hoping to find someone who is enthusiastic, interested in baking (or simply eating baked goods!) and well-presented.

Must take and pass a food safety handling course prior to starting the role.

Education and Experience:

  • Prior farmers’ market vending is desirable, but not necessary. Attitude and the ability to connect with customers and their needs are most important.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, carry, and set up a 10×10 commercial-duty canopy (we will teach you),
  • Basic math skills for retail, cash handling, use of square terminal for sales
  • Attention to detail, capacity and curiosity to learn
  • Valid CA driver’s license or other identification card

Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
