Events Intern

AbilityPath is hiring an Events Intern to join our Marketing Team!

The Events Intern will assist the Event Manager with the planning and execution of a variety of events aimed at engaging the community in AbilityPath’s mission and raising funds. This internship will be primarily remote with some in person engagement!

About the Role:

  • Assist with largest annual fundraiser, Power of Possibilities
  • Assist with Bay Area Giving Day and other spring events
  • Prepare invitation and sponsorship mailings
  • Collaborate on overall theme and décor for Spring events
  • Learn and work on internal event software for managing events
  • Develop ideas and help create event giveaways
  • Solicit and secure auction items
  • Prepare and gather event day materials
  • Attend and assist at Spring events, including set-up and breakdown
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience:

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and ability is qualifying, unless otherwise specified.

  • Any related education and experience in marketing, development and non profit
  • Students currently enrolled in marketing/development undergraduate or graduate programs preferred

Hiring Requirements:
  • Valid California Driver’s License/ID
  • Clean driving record (if applicable)
  • Proof of negative TB test results
  • Verification of physical clearance
  • Passing a criminal fingerprint clearance
  • 18 years of age or job permit clearance
  • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination
