  • Support DoD Industrial Security Programs and assist the Facility Security Officer as required.
  • Learning all aspects of security Personnel, Physical, and Program over the course of your internship.
  • Analyzing current security procedures and provide feedback for improvements
  • Advising security leadership of trends
  • Assisting the Facility Security Officer with compliance for all matters related to the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM)
  • Tracking of special access briefings
  • Developing best practices for tracking of security briefings
  • Learning all aspects of security Personnel, Physical and Program
  • Support the social committee to increase employee engagement

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management or related majors from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • This position requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.

Desired Skills:

  • Interest in learning about the protection of sensitive data, administering security requirements in the workplace, and customer intimacy and relationships
  • Ability to create, prepare, and deliver security related briefings
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Self-starter, quick learner and able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security clearance.
