Emily is full of grit and perseverance. Moving to the United States only a year ago, Emily is relentless in her self-advocacy and committed to painting her own destiny. Experiencing family illness, Emily’s dream is to study oncology. She wants to find the cure to cancer once and for all and be able to help families who have experienced similar stories to hers. Originally enrolled in the English as a Second Language track at Woodside High School, Emily has already made the transition to mainstream courses all on her own by her Junior year. Now highly proficient in English, Emily considers this one of her greatest accomplishments. We can’t wait to see the brilliant doctor Emily is sure to become some day!
